This episode covers Book 8, the Phaeacian Games put on in honour of their unknown guest; Book 9, up to where Odysseus reveals himself and begins his tale; and the start of Book 13, when Odysseus leaves Scherie on his journey to Ithaca...
Listen and become Odysseus, the many-minded man, the most famous adventure hero of all time. Enjoy this second-person retelling of Homer's Odyssey with a fully atmospheric audio backdrop, hear Odysseus' options at each story juncture, and see if you can make the same choices - based on the hero's own in the original epic.
From the teacher (and illustrator) behind GreekMythComix comes this beautiful retelling, featuring characterisations, literary features, scenarios and episodes directly from and inspired by translations of the original poem, from Troy to Ithaca. This audiobook podcast features the main Odyssey storyline from the interactive novel YOU ARE ODYSSEUS, in which you can read the story as your version of Odysseus, making the choices you think he should make, and seeing the outcome - original, alternative story elements based on suggestions from the original poem, the Epic Cycle, ancient authors and playwrights, and sparkling with additions from Ancient Greek mythology - find the book at laurajenkinsonbrown.co.uk/publications/you-are-odysseus/
