Billy Crystal says he’s stopped talking to God because he no longer trusts him.In a candid interview on CBS Sunday Morning, the 78-year-old comedian opened up about the year that shook his faith. In January 2025, the Palisades wildfires destroyed the home he and his wife had lived in for decades. Then, in December 2025, his longtime friend and collaborator Rob Reiner and Reiner’s wife, Michele, were murdered in their home, the night after Crystal had been with them at a holiday gathering. Asked whether he still talks to God, as he did in his famous show “700 Sundays,” Crystal said no, because too many bad things have happened. He’s now turning that grief into his new one-man Broadway show, “860,” named after the address of the home he lost.____
