Val Chmerkovskiy shared a now-deleted TikTok post referencing the Will Smith and Chris Rock 2022 Oscars incident after judge Carie Ann Inaba criticized his wife and fellow pro dancer following their samba routine last episode. Even though Chmerkovskiy publicly apologized, the production company behind DWTS announced over the weekend that “the well-being of everyone who works on Dancing with the Stars is non-negotiable” and that Chmerkovskiy would not participate in this week’s competition.
