Korey Rowe on Loose Change, 9/11, Going ...

And Another Thing With Dave, by Dave Smith

In this episode: US Army veteran, filmmaker, and entrepreneur Corey Rowe sits down with Dave for a wide-ranging conversation about the origins of Loose Change, his path from high school enlistment to two combat tours, the decision to go AWOL, and the personal cost of questioning the official narrative of 9/11.

Rowe enlisted in August 2001 and began basic training on September 11. He served in Kandahar, Afghanistan, then Iraq, where events on the ground shattered his earlier patriotic view. After returning home he partnered with childhood friend Dylan Avery to produce the low-budget documentary Loose Change, which became one of the earliest viral internet videos and a cornerstone of the 9/11 Truth movement.

Topics covered include:

• The first day of basic training coinciding with the attacks
• The shift from supporting the Afghanistan response to questioning the Iraq invasion
• The human cost of the war and specific incidents that changed Rowe’s perspective
• Going AWOL under the stop-loss policy and the multi-year process that eventually led to an honorable discharge
• World Trade Center Building 7 as the strongest piece of evidence presented in the film
• PTSD, opioid addiction, recovery, and how cannabis later became part of his path
• Why he still keeps Loose Change available and what he wants people to take from the new book
• Broader thoughts on government accountability, education, and the direction of the country
