Buck breaks down two major stories to close out the week. First, he reacts to the controversial ICE shooting in New York City and the backlash from Mayor Zohran Mamdani, as protests erupt and questions swirl over exactly what happened during the attempted arrest. Buck examines the dispute over the ICE officers’ actions, Mamdani’s calls to abolish ICE and the larger political battle over immigration enforcement heading into the midterms. Then, Buck turns to Pete Hegseth’s announcement that the execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan will be public and livestreamed. He weighs in on whether executions should be public, the ethics of livestreaming the death penalty, whether capital punishment actually serves as a deterrent and why he believes the firing squad should be the preferred method of execution.
