DoorDash Adds Macy's, Anthropologie & $7...

Omni Talk Retail
About this episode

DoorDash is expanding its retail marketplace with Macy's, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans, and Timberland, bringing hundreds of additional stores onto its platform. The company is also introducing Dasher Returns, a $7.99 service that lets customers have returns picked up directly from their doors. With more than half of the NRF Top 100 Retailers now partnering with DoorDash, its vision of becoming the "mall in your pocket" is gaining momentum.

But is DoorDash building the next major retail marketplace, or are shoppers really only turning to it for last-minute purchases? Chris Walton and Richard McKenzie debate the long-term opportunity, the operational challenges, and why Amazon might have more to worry about than it realizes.
