After Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the public would be able to watch a firing squad execute Fort Hood mass killer Nidal Hasan, the Pentagon got specific, saying the execution would be live-streamed. Hassan’s planned, public execution is scheduled for December 3rd at 1pm, on the same day of the week and the same time Hasan killed 13 and wounded 30 others back in 2009. Hasan was wounded in the attack and is paralyzed, and there are many questions about the legality and morality of a public execution. The execution by firing squad would be the first of its kind carried out by the Army since World War II.
