In this episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz, Senator Ted Cruz and Ben Ferguson discuss the controversy surrounding Zohran Mamdani’s October 7 anniversary statement, reactions from activists and political leaders, ongoing debates over Israel and Hamas, and a major White House policy announcement expanding Trump Accounts through nationwide automatic enrollment for children. They also cover Cruz’s visit to the White House, his trip aboard Marine One and Air Force One, and President Trump’s rally in Texas supporting Republican candidates ahead of the midterms.
The third anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks reignited fierce political debate over Israel, antisemitism, and the future direction of the Democratic Party. Senator Ted Cruz argues that New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s public statement marking the anniversary revealed a growing divide within the party and intensified concerns about radical political activism. Cruz and Ben Ferguson examine Mamdani’s comments about Israel, the backlash he received from both critics and pro-Palestinian activists, and the broader political implications heading into the midterm elections. They discuss protests, competing narratives surrounding the Israel-Hamas conflict, and what Cruz views as an increasingly influential ideological coalition within Democratic politics. In the second half of the episode, Cruz shares behind-the-scenes details from a major White House announcement involving Trump Accounts, a policy he says will provide personal investment accounts for millions of American children. He explains the administration’s move to automatically enroll eligible children, the policy battle that led to the decision, and why he believes the program could have a lasting impact on wealth creation, financial literacy, and long-term investment ownership for future generations.
