Three Tests. Three cities. Three weeks. And you’re coming along for the ride. We're off to commentate Test Cricket on international soil for the very first time.
And it's not only Test Cricket abroad, it's Australia's first time back in South Africa since the infamous Sandpapergate. So, the Howie Games is heading to South Africa for an unscripted, behind-the-scenes tour diary covering the cricket, the commentary, the travel, the characters, the stars and, hopefully a few random adventures along the way.
Before we get into the now, Howie takes a trip back through Australia’s incredible Test history in South Africa from Victor Trumper to Allan Border, Adam Gilchrist, Phil Hughes and an 18-year-old Pat Cummins winning a Test on debut. Plus, all the controversy and fallout of our last appearance.
There’s great cricket, great characters, some unforgettable moments and a fascinating history between these two proud cricketing nations.
It's time… to hit the airport. And there are delays! And a missed flight.
Melbourne to Perth, Perth to Johannesburg, Johannesburg to Durban, and the South Africa Test Tour Diaries officially begin. We check in, and then it's off to training.
Come along. This one’s going to be a beauty.
