Well, our performances went great at FanX the Comic convention in Salt Lake City. The Cthulhu reading in particular packed the room, and people were turned away. We gave out a hundred "Cthulhu Comforters", which were little rubber fidget toys shaped like an octopus that kind of popped. I told everyone I gave one out to that it was a scary story, so if they need it, they can fidget with the Cthulhu to help the calm down. When the story got intense at the end, I heard people popping their toys in the audience. It was really, really fun.
And now for something completely different.
Thurnley Abbey was originally released in McClure's magazine in October 1908. It is the most famous piece of fiction by Perceval Landon, who was a journalist by profession. However, though it is a "one off", it's considered one of the most terrifying stories by ghost story buffs. I hope you like it.
And now, Thurnley Abbey, by Perceval Landon
