Ad astra Travelers! Welcome to season 8 of Tales of Teyvat: A Genshin Lore Podcast. In this episode, we’re sailing into the Romaritime Harbor to discuss the Sunny Summer Fontinalia Quest! This pseudo summer quest, that has mostly carried over to maintain a traveler’s ability to learn certain lore, brought down the vibe of our summer, bringing tears to the eyes of many. Our hosts will walk through the quest, from our first meeting with Xaiver up until the end of the Fontinalia Film Festival. During this episode, we’ll discuss Sandrone’s creation and upbringing with Lord Artificer, Alain, and his tragic backstory as a member of the Narzissenkreuz Institute. We’ll review the disconnect between Columbina and Sandrone, Columbina’s ability to sniff out her friend and Sandrone’s ability to hide from her all the same. Finally, we’ll discuss other lore implications and questions from the quest, like where the Wingalet went after we made it a highly rated aquarium, how Citlali didn’t realize the spirits of dead Fontainian were keeping her awake, and why goop monsters just keep coming out of the depths of Fontaine’s water. Not to mention, we’ll get to see the tearful reunion we’ve been waiting for since the end of Nod-Krai: The reunification of Sandrone and Columbina!
