White House National Economic Director Kevin Hassett suggests that, while the US economy is now on track for strong growth, “outside” factors could get in the way of the administration’s hopes for at least a 3% expansion rate while speaking with BTV's David Westin at the Economic Club of New York luncheon. Asked whether the deficit is on track for 3% by the end of Trump’s term, Hassett says, “it’s going to depend on you know basically whether there’s ‘force majeure’ measures that come in the way of that.”
