Nine-year-old Jamaria Sessions was unresponsive and was declared deceased on scene by paramedics.
Her stepmother, 34 year old Tyshelle Martin claimed that she had woken and found the little girl cold and unresponsive. Paramedics knew there was more to this case, the girl was covered in bruises, bite marks, pinch marks and abrasions, and so detectives were called in to investigate.
