Authorities now believe 29-year-old mother of four, Tasia Fortune, was murdered during a drug dispute and then, her body was hanged in a tree in a “staged” scene. Jackson police say Fortune fought with her attackers before she was killed, and now 45-year-old Eric Clark has also been charged with her murder. 25-year-old Earnest Lloyd Jr. and 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff are also facing capital murder charges for her death. Fortune’s mother had a remarkable response after an outburst in Friday’s court hearing, saying she doesn’t want anyone who is innocent behind bars.
