WWE spent this week pushing toward Money in the Bank, while the main-event scene got messier — Roman remains firmly on top of Raw, while Sami/Punk/Owens has suddenly become the biggest story on SmackDown
- Roman Reigns survived Penta on Raw in Mexico City, retaining the World Heavyweight Championship after a very competitive main event.
- Money in the Bank qualifying kicked into gear: Je’Von Evans and Lola Vice qualified on Raw, while Trick Williams and Jacy Jayne punched their tickets on SmackDown.
- Chad Gable retained the Intercontinental Championship over Dragon Lee, actually showing some respect afterward — a notable wrinkle in Gable’s character.
- Judgment Day stayed heavily involved on Raw, attacking Stephanie Vaquer, El Grande Americano and Rey Mysterio after the mixed-tag match involving Liv Morgan and Dominik.
- Sami Zayn’s WWE Championship reign survived its first major test. He defeated Kevin Owens on SmackDown — but only after CM Punk interfered and blasted Owens with the title. Punk then dropped both Owens and Sami with GTSs afterward. That feels like the biggest angle of the week.
