The Dark Watchers of California

For centuries, hikers and travelers have seen strange beings at the top of the Santa Lucia Mountains.

Witnesses describe them the same way: tall men, wearing capes or cloaks, with a walking stick by its side, and wide a wide-brimmed hat. In fact, the Spanish colonizers also saw them, calling them "Los vigilantes oscuros", the Dark Watchers. We'll take a look at the legends and verify the information that circulates about these beings making themselves known for 13,000 years.
