Dugout Dads reunites some familiar faces, but Patrick Renna and Danielle Fishel have no interest in trying to recreate The Sandlot or Boy Meets World. The longtime friends talk with Kyle Meredith about Renna turning the insanity of Little League parents into a new comedy series, bringing his Sandlot castmates back as fictionalized versions of themselves, and why Fishel sees the whole thing as “rebooting a cast” instead of rebooting a classic.
