Prof. Jason Arday was hounded to death after a media campaign so intense, so vitriolic, so unrelenting, that it went beyond what you’d expect if he was a Cabinet minister guilty of grave corruption or harm to others. But he wasn’t a Cabinet minister, he was a university professor the vast majority of people had never heard of, and he wasn’t guilty of corruption or harm to others.
