Anthony Bourdain was a hero of the hole in the wall. The celebrity cook and TV host reached cult status for exposing people to kitchen culture, new cuisines and a different way of seeing the world. Canadian filmmaker Matt Johnson's new biopic Tony aims to show a lesser known side of Bourdain: his first summer in the kitchen as a 19-year-old who thought he knew everything. Food writer and former line cook Ivy Knight, Globe and Mail film critic Barry Hertz and TV host Michelle Jobin join guest host Amil Niazi to discuss what director Matt Johnson’s latest film serves up.
