We really have to talk about climate catastrophe in an non-apocalyptic way in order to get people productively on-side. Besides, there's plenty to be done.
The horrifying research I did for this episode might turn me into an environmental activist from a geopolitical position - things are going to get wild. States will collapse, wars will happen. Gone will be the days of carrier strike groups or even drones as global supply chains break down and all the evangelicals will be euphoric seeing that the end is nigh. There are going to crisis cults popping up everywhere - UFO cults, AI machine god cults - 4 billion people could die in the 25-30 years, and the bottomline is that we here at RFEmedia will still be transmitting this podcast and our Thursday livestream, if we live, from the Great Lakes region of the continental United States.
Today we are joined by friend of the show, Michael Mezzatesta, a storyteller working at the intersection of economics, climate, and culture. His work reaches tens of millions of viewers each month and is recognized for making complex economic and climate issues accessible to a mainstream audience. He has an economics degree from Standoff university and champions a post-capitalist world. He is the host of the Better Future Podcast, the links for which are in the description. Cheers y’all!
