This week we kick things off by reviewing and dissecting The Odyssey, before chatting about the World Cup and discussing the online backlash surrounding the new Somali film starring Sabrina Elba, where she plays a single mother who falls in love with a Jamaican man.
We also react to some of the negative comments we’ve received over the last few episodes and have an honest conversation about criticism, growth and staying true to ourselves.
Our first dilemma is from a woman in a long-distance relationship with a man who once agreed to marriage but now seems distant, follows other women online and leaves her questioning whether she’s wasting her time.
We then read through a viral post where women share the biggest lessons they’ve learned from past relationships… and the responses are eye-opening.
Our second dilemma comes from a wife and mother who feels completely overwhelmed. She’s carrying the mental load of raising children, paying bills, receiving little affection or appreciation from her husband and admits she’s emotionally checked out of the marriage.
We wrap up the episode with a reminder that no matter how heavy life feels, Allah is greater than every worry, fear and anxiety we carry.
💌 We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
