Athens and London found each other in that classic boy-meets-girl love story, one many of us wish for. Their connection was almost inevitable, unhurried and felt certain.
They said "I do", ready to start their lives anew, eager and optimistic with their faith, love for one another and ambition steering the ship. What they didn't know yet was how one word would touch every part of their lives: endometriosis. It would move into their relationship without warning, rearrange the furniture, and stay.
This is a story about a body that felt as though it was at war with itself, and how two people refused to let that war become their ending.
