In this presentation, Syed AmirHossein Asghari develops a Sufi account of fiṭra — humanity's innate God-orientation — as a genuine mode of non-conceptual, presential knowledge. Drawing on Qur'anic verses and later thinkers like Mullā Ṣadrā and ʿAllāmah Ṭabāṭabāʾī, he connects this classical framework to modern debates on consciousness, near-death experience, and the limits of physicalism.
