Episode 199: Miracle Patient

Corinna Cohn
About this episode

What’s it like to survive Stage 4 abdominal cancer? The Dorx interviewed Alasdair over a year ago, shortly after he learned he was an immunotherapy “miracle patient.” But we never released that episode, partly because Nina cried about her own problems. Here Nina and Alasdair attempt to re-create April 2025 (not May, as Nina incorrectly asserts) and cover most of the same topics: emergency surgery, chemotherapy, heart failure, asking Dr Google, the woman across the infusion table, tuning out of genderworld, and robot litter boxes. All with less drama and more propriety!

But is that a good thing? Should Nina release the spiked episode, which she has since listened to, despite Alasdair’s protestations? Tell us in the comments!
