In today's episode, we discuss why the makeup community is not happy with Charlotte Tilbury's stance on dupes, suggesting that they hurt the consumer and says that it's impossible to dupe her products. Which is interesting when you find out that she uses the same manufacturer as brands who sell their products at a FAR lower price point than she does. Then we move onto another entitled TikToker story - this time it's an influencer that attempts to get a free custom clothing piece from a designer who ultimately does agree to make her a skirt for significantly less than her standard rent - but then when it came time to show off her outfit on social media, she would say that SHE had "invented" it, taking full credit for the piece despite her literally paying someone to make it for her. Not long after being exposed by the designer, other creators start coming out of the woodwork because apparently stealing people's ideas and not giving credit is a normal afternoon for her.
