THE GREEN SCENE: The on-the-ground exper...

OTB Sports
About this episode

It is World Cup chat on The Green Scene this week, as Matthew Brennan is joined by David Wilson, Ben Symes and a very special guest in the returning traveller Niall Caraher — fresh off a trip to Mexico for the tournament.

Niall takes us inside Guadalajara for South Korea v Czechia: the fan zones, the tailgate-style build-up, the mix of locals and travelling support, and that feeling of “what could have been” if Ireland had made it.

The lads also get into the big talking points off the pitch — ticket prices, transport, safety, protests and the commercial side of the tournament — plus why, despite it all, the football itself has been quality.

And as ever, we are looking for your inspiration to help us, fancy getting in touch?

You can do so by emailing thegreenscene@offtheball.com
