This week on the podcast, Abby is joined by Chloe Smith’s mom, Liza Smith, for a candid conversation about Chloe’s journey to Dance Moms and the moments fans never got to see behind the scenes. Liza shares how Chloe first got started in dance, what led their family to Abby Lee Miller and the ALDC, and what the audition process was really like from a parent’s perspective. She also reveals the terrifying blizzard that nearly prevented them from making it to Chloe’s final audition — the one that ultimately changed their lives forever.
Liza also pulls back the curtain on life behind the scenes of Dance Moms, sharing never-before-heard stories about the moms, dancers, production crew, and the reality of filming the hit series. From emotional highs and difficult moments to Chloe’s return with Cathy’s Candy Apples and competing against the ALDC, Liza reflects on the experiences that shaped their family's journey. Plus, she shares what it’s been like watching Chloe grow from a young dancer on reality television into the accomplished young woman she is today.
