Fear has a way of convincing us to play small, hide our true selves, and settle for less than what God created us to do. In Week 1 of our new sermon series, Fear-Less, Pastor Charles Metcalf challenged us to confront the fears that silently shape our lives. We uncovered four common fears that affect us all: the fear of man, the fear of loss, the fear of failure, and the fear of inadequacy. But God's plan isn't simply to remove those fears; it's to replace them with a holy fear. When our God-awareness becomes greater than our self-awareness, fear loses its power and faith begins to lead. For the duration of this series and beyond, may we become less aware of ourselves and more aware of God.
