Yukon Metals Expands District Play with ...

TREVOR HALL
About this episode

Yukon Metals is expanding its district-scale copper-gold exploration strategy in the Yukon with the addition of the Sumo property, located near its flagship Birch project. The company sees strong porphyry potential supported by historical drilling and favorable infrastructure access. Exploration this season will integrate Sumo alongside ongoing work at Birch and the AZ target, where geophysics and drilling are set to begin in mid-May. CEO Jim Coates spoke with MSD's Ian Wagner and emphasized a tightening global copper supply backdrop and sees Yukon Metals positioning itself for discovery-driven catalysts, with geophysical results and initial drill visuals expected by mid-summer.
