In today’s episode, I’m sharing my final thoughts on The Kingdom of the Wicked trilogy by Kerri Maniscalco.
This series has a lot going for it—an intriguing central concept, a dark and immersive atmosphere, and plenty of romantic tension that keeps things engaging throughout. It’s easy to see why so many readers have fallen in love with this world.
However, while the ideas are strong, I found that the execution didn’t fully live up to its potential. Issues with pacing and overall focus made the experience feel uneven at times.
In the end, I’d rate the trilogy a 6 out of 10—right in the middle. Not bad, but not particularly memorable either.
Tune in to hear a deeper breakdown of what worked, what didn’t, and why this series might still be worth picking up.
