A day in French - 60 - Computer

CAROLINE
About this episode

Bonjour à tous and welcome back to the podcast ! This time, we're not going shopping or sightseeing, we're staying home, trying to get some work done… but of course, things don't go as planned.

In today's episode, you'll hear a real story that started with a very normal goal: using my computer in French to get through a regular workday.

But between a missing Wi-Fi connection and a disappearing Bluetooth signal, that little goal turned into a full-on tech mess.

You'll discover how small problems with your computer in French can snowball into big frustration, and maybe even make you laugh in the end.

This episode is great for A2 learners who want to practice listening, storytelling, and especially exclamations in French, expressions like Quel cauchemar !, Ouf !, and Comme c'est embêtant ! that help you react to daily challenges with personality and style.

We'll also explore practical vocabulary about tech gear, USB ports, keyboards, and how to explain what's wrong with your computer in French, so you're ready when something inevitably breaks.

In this episode:

  • Vocabulary Expansion: Everyday French words about tech, devices, and unexpected glitches

  • Grammar Focus: Exclamations, how to react and express emotion in French naturally

  • Challenge: A short writing task at the end to help you tell your own tech trouble story

Don't forget to download the complete guide below, with the transcript, vocabulary, and grammar explanation.
