Paul Tyson is an independent scholar and an Honorary Senior Fellow with the School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry, at the University of Queensland, in Australia. He has academic qualifications in philosophy, theology, and sociology, and likes to mix them all up when trying to understand how strange the ordinary features of our contemporary way of life are. Three of his biggest intellectual heroes are Plato, Kierkegaard, and Ellul.
