On August 8, a body believed to be 18-year-old Giovanni Pelletier was found in a Florida retention pond near where he had recently gone missing. Giovanni disappeared after sending his mother a text reading “Mom, help” during a visit with relatives.

The remains showed no signs of foul play, though official identification and cause of death aren't yet known. Giovanni’s family is now demanding an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
