Impact of Etihad Rail and other infrastr...

DUBAI EYE 103.8
About this episode

Etihad Rail's passenger service is set to launch in 2026, and it's fair to say as residents we're all excited for what this is going to mean for getting around the emirates, but perhaps no one is more excited than property investors. So we wanted to take a broader look at this, with all of the massive infrastructure projects underway - from Etihad Rail, to  the upcoming Dubai Metro Blue Line, and developments around Dubai World Central (DWC). We get the insights of Christopher Cina, Director of Sales at Betterhomes.

Geoffrey Thomas, Editor-in-Chief at 42kft.com, talks about flight safety following Emirates' recent announcement that you'll no longer be able to use a power bank onboard their flights starting 1st October.

We’re also looking at some of the research happening right here in the UAE at the The Technology Innovation Institute with Professor Phil Hart. The institute is developing innovative technologies in different fields - from AI, to cryptography, and quantum computing - with the aim to turn them into commercialised products and services.

We also turn our attention to back-to-school tech with Kevin Sebastian because for sure even if it's still summer break, parents and students are already preparing as the new academic year starts in exactly two weeks.

Staying with back-to-school, Dubai Cares join us to talk about volunteerism in support of low-income families in the UAE.

And every day this week, we are speaking to inspirational personalities and people in the news to celebrate talents and lives that blossomed in the Emirates. We start with the brains behind the viral Dubai chocolate - Chef Nouel Catis.
