Tobey Maguire in the mid 2000's had it all, he was playing Spider-man in a massive franchise, was married to the daughter of Universal Pictures, was rich, famous & all his dreams had come true. Despite having it all, Maguire wanted more, & decided to he was going to use his love of poker to bring his net worth from the EIGHT figure to NINE figures. During the mid 2000’s in Hollywood, a weekly poker game was set up between friends, they just happened to be famous, Tobey Maguire, Leonardo Dicaprio, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Todd Phillips, & even Mary-Kate & Ashley Olson stopped by. Obviously they didn’t know it when they started their game in 2003, but their poker game would lead to multiple FBI raids that would arrest 34 people in a 100 million dollar money laundering gambling ring. Through this poker game, many of the players were not only exposed in the media, but they lost millions of dollars & were even sued. The details of this game were so interesting, they were turned into two books, Molly's Game & Billion Dollar Hollywood Heist, and an Aaron Sorkin movie, but unfortunately a lot of details had to be left out of the productions due to possible legal threats. So today we’re going to be discussing everything most people don’t know about Hollywood’s biggest game, we’ll be covering the secrets & checkered pasts of the biggest celeb players, the alleged romantic entanglements, hacks that exposed Hollywood secrets, a Ponzi scheme, a $22 million dollar cheating scandal, and even Kim Jung un. Along with the downfall of the golden age of online poker, with the FBI seizing the Pokerstars, Full Tilt & Ultimate Bet websites, & placing the owners on the FBI most wanted.
