Palliative Care: End of Life

Ready, Set, GYO: An educational gynecologic oncology podcast
About this episode

This is the third of three episodes on palliative care.  In this episode, we review end of life care.  We highlight the importance of discussing prognosis with patients, explore approaches to best estimate it, and introduce a structured framework around it.  We define hospice care and review the range of services offered.  Lastly, we explore evidence-based strategies for managing symptoms commonly associated with the dying process.
