Which Degrees Are Useless Now? English L...

Hilary Platt
About this episode

Did you know some university degrees could actually make it harder to find a job? Hi everyone, and welcome back to Adept English https://adeptenglish.com/language-courses/ your goto place for interesting English listening. Today, we're tackling a big question: Are university degrees still worth it?

When I was younger, I thought any degree was a golden ticket to success. But after helping my son choose his path in higher education (he wants to be an engineer), I've learned it's not that simple. Some degrees, like Latin (yes, that was my first degree!), don't always lead to jobs. Others, like graphic design? Much better for today's job market.

"Not all learning happens in a classroom. Experience and adaptability often outweigh a traditional degree." Elon Musk
