Welcome to the first episode of the new Men’s Psychology Podcast.
We’ll begin our studies with a series of over ten episodes in a series called Introduction to Men’s Psychology, with ten minute sessions each.
This will establish a basis for how to start wondering about the specific features and dynamics in the thinking of men that is unique to them.
This particular lecture will be of the level to introduce the topic to professionals in healthcare, but since we tend to use everyday language in explaining psychology topics, we thought the brainy edge and the lingo of the field would be understandable and useful to our subscribers—people who have only found their way here by way of their higher than average intelligence, and more importantly their energetic curiosity about this important topic.
We are getting used to the amazing resources of Substack, and thought we’d start with some educational material here, but we plan on moving onto more conversational podcasts after this 10-12 week program, also seen on Apple Podcasts.
Some of the useful resources that you ought to look into include the only textbook in the world that’s on the mark as far as an academic understanding of the emerging and soon to be burgeoning psychology research studies on men: The Palgrave Handbook of Male Psychology, edited by Drs. John Barry, Martin Seager and Roger Kingerly.
Eventually we’ll be moving to the Podcast being available only to paid subscribers, but for this course we welcome everyone to tune in and comment.
Enjoy, and thank you.
