About this episode

Afternoon Headlines: Fatal car crash in Melbourne playground leaves one dead and two critically injured including a child, special Envoy’s report to combat Antisemitism handed down and Australian teenage surfer found alive on a remote island after he was missing at sea overnight

Deep Dive: Drug overdoses are killing the equivalent of a Boeing 737 full of Australians every month because of drug overdoses often from everyday common medications.

A confronting new report, by the non-profit Penington Institute, has exposed how many of these deaths are preventable with health experts calling for better education programs.

In this episode of The Briefing Natarsha Belling is joined by public health and safety expert John Ryan to explain how we all can play a role in turning this devastating trend around.
