Rose Marie ha pasado varias operaciones de rodilla, pero la última fue especial. Le colocaron una prótesis y, a diferencia del resto de veces, solo unas horas después se fue a casa a pasar su primera noche sin necesidad de estar ingresada.    

 

El doctor Manuel Leyes es un traumatólogo de reconocido prestigio, jefe de servicio de traumatología en Olympia-Grupo Quirónsalud y Hospital Universitario la Luz, lleva años operando rodillas y, desde hace unos meses, ha incorporado a su rutina una nueva técnica que permite que el paciente no tenga que pasar la noche en el hospital. 

Gracias a diversos cabios en el procedimiento el paciente se marcha andando. Con ello se consigue un gran avance tanto psicológico como físico. El paciente puede descansar en un entorno conocido y solo tres días después ya empieza la rehabilitación, que es la parte más dura de una cirugía articular.
