He studied at Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow (1991- 1997), where he also obtained a PhD degree. Where he became full professor in 2017. After finishing trainings he became the specialist in general surgery and oncological surgery (2008). He is a head of surgical oncology clinic at national cancer institute in cracow. He is the head of the Home Parenteral Nutrition Unit at Stanley Dudrick’s Memorial Hospital in Skawina, Poland. He has published more than 200 original articles and served on different national committees. Since 2010, he has been the Chairman of the Polish Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (POLSPEN)
