Financial markets overseas tumbled on Monday amid the economic fallout from President Trump's tariffs announcement last week. On Sunday, Mr. Trump stood by his trade policies as larger reciprocal tariffs on dozens of countries are set to go into effect later this week.

CBS News business analyst Jill Schlesinger joins "CBS Mornings" to break down the global and U.S. market tumble amid President Trump's latest tariffs, how to financially protect yourself and what to know about the risks of a recession.

Lori Vallow Daybell, the Idaho mother convicted of killing her children over her extreme religious beliefs, is talking about her next trial to KPHO, the CBS affiliate in Phoenix. She spoke from jail about going back to court to defend herself against charges of planning the murder of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow.

A judge says that a man who was mistakenly deported to a notorious El Salvador prison over what prosecutors are calling an "administrative error" must be returned Monday. The White House is claiming the judge doesn't have jurisdiction. CBS News' Scott MacFarlane has the latest.
