A 7.7 earthquake strikes Myanmar and Thailand, causing widespread damage and at least one death. Authorities in Bangkok report one person was killed, 50 others hurt when a building under construction collapsed. An unknown number of people remain trapped under the rubble. There are also reports of buildings collapsing in Myanmar, one of the world's poorest countries, already reeling from more than four years of civil war.
