Ukraine’s troops surrounded as peace tal...

THE TIMES
About this episode

US-Ukraine peace talks will resume on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia, the first since the Oval Office row 10 days ago. But after a bruising week since, during which the US ended its military aid for and intelligence sharing with Ukraine and Russia has taken advantage on the battlefield, their negotiating position looks weaker than ever. It comes on the day reports say Ukraine's troops are completely surrounded in Kursk. The Times' World Affairs Editor, Catherine Philp, analyses just how damaged they've been going in to the meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other senior officials.

The World in 10 is the Times' daily podcast dedicated to global security. Expert analysis of war, diplomatic relations and cyber security from The Times' foreign correspondents and military specialists.
