About this episode

Title: Whispers from the Void

Level: Advanced (C1)

Story :

The Argonaut, a deep-space exploration vessel, receives a mysterious signal while on the edge of known space. The crew, led by Captain Aaron Weiss, investigates the origin of the signal, which emanates from the void—an empty region beyond any known star systems. As they approach the source, the signal begins to affect the crew’s mental state, manifesting as whispers they can’t escape. The crew starts to unravel, with paranoia and fear spreading as the signal intensifies. Eventually, they realize the signal is intelligent, not just a message, but something far more sinister. As the Argonaut attempts to escape, an ancient, incomprehensible entity emerges from the void and engulfs the ship. Captain Weiss and his crew are consumed by the entity, their fate unknown as they are drawn into the void itself, welcomed by the voices that have haunted them.

Vocabulary :

  • Void – an empty, vast, and dark expanse, especially in space.
  • Distress Signal – a transmission sent when a ship or person is in danger, requesting help.

  • Manifest – to appear or become visible.
  • Entity – something that exists independently, especially something mysterious or unknown.
