Janko Tipsarevic - Explosive views on te...

David Law, Catherine Whitaker, Matt Roberts
About this episode

Six years on from his previous appearance on The Tennis Podcast, Janko Tipsarevic is back, this time to talk to David all about his foray into coaching.

Tipsarevic doesn’t hold back as he explains why he enjoys coaching and why he thinks coaching standards in tennis are generally lower compared to in other sports.

David was inspired to speak to Tipsarevic again after his new partnership with Denis Shapovalov has got off to a promising start, with Shapovalov winning the ATP 500 event in Dallas last month.

Tipsarevic explains why he was drawn to working with Shapovalov, the goals that they have set together, and how he think Shapovalov needs to play to achieve his potential.

He also gives his take on the Novak Djokovic - Andy Murray coaching relationship.
