Hour 1: His Light In Our Darkness

MOODY RADIO
About this episode

How do we move past our past traumas to real, lasting healing and restoration? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we told you what trauma is and is not, how it is stored differently in our brains and how as believers we can lean hard on God to find real recovery. Is it possible that a little known philosophy from the 1800’s could become the leading edge of the self-help and happiness movement that permeates our society today and even our churches? Our guest shared her personal journey and how her initial faith was challenged by the New Thought movement and how it repackages the age-old lie from the Garden of Eden in a new and shiny package that has led many believers away from the truth. Satan is real. Demons are real. Our guest used hard biblical truth to sharply remind us of the spiritual warfare going on all around us and in our own lives, how to use the spiritual armor that God has provided His children and most importantly that Christ is and will always be the victor over this dark enemy. At the start of each new year we all hear the predictions of the so called “Doomsday Clock” to warn us nuclear and other threats facing humanity. But there is another more important clock that we all should be paying attention to and that is God’s eternal clock as revealed in Revelations and throughout scripture. We spoke with a highly regarded bible teacher and expert on prophecy about the times we are living in today and how the ongoing persecution of believers for their faith today is reflective of a similar persecution believers endured under Rome in ancient time and most importantly how that is a call for believers to hold fast to their faith as God’s ultimate judgement draws closer. It is time to wind down the week with another deep dive into the headlines of the week as we continue learning how to read and understand the news through the lens of scripture.
