Before the desire to go away that God never ordained can be accomplished, there must be a starting point, a fundamental basis or core to allow the enemy access to us. There must be a weakness within each of us where the enemy can attach an incentive or temptation strong enough to cause us to fall. Would the weakness in you be in reference to pride, lust, money or even hatred? For each and every one it’s different. The enemy knows what will work against one will not always be successful against another. As the kids used to say years back, he knows just what buttons to push in order to pluck your nerves. He knows just what carrot to dangle before you, just what motivation will work against you in your life at that time and moment. What may be a temptation or incentive for me would probably never work on you. Nonetheless, temptations happen and depending on one’s relationship with the Father, depending on how much one will allow his flesh to make his determinations will also determine how successful that inclination and desire to submit to them will be.
