Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Define clinical characteristics associated with vocal tremor that inform classification.

2. Describe recommended clinical assessment approaches that identify and characterize vocal tremor phenotypes.

3. Identify and discuss utilization of assessment findings for informing optimal treatment planning in those with vocal tremor.

Bio:

Julie Barkmeier-Kraemer, PhD, CCC-SLP is Chair and a professor in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders with a dual appointment in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery where she serves as the Director of the Voice, Airway, Swallowing Translational (VAST) Research Lab at the University of Utah. Dr. Barkmeier-Kraemer has over 30 years of clinical and research experience with voice, airway, and dysphagia populations as well as over 20 years of experience teaching and mentoring students clinically and in research.
