Zara Tindall has shared a glimpse into the royal family’s festive celebrations at Sandringham, offering insight into the long-held traditions they continue to observe to this day. Speaking at the Battle of the Commentators charity lunch in Londonm Princess Anne’s daughter gave a heartwarming account of how the royals mark the holiday season.
Tindall revealed that she will be spending Christmas at Sandringham this year, continuing the cherished royal tradition of gathering at the Norfolk estate for the holiday. As part of the royal Christmas customs, Zara explained that the family maintains a formal atmosphere, donning black-tie attire for Christmas Eve dinner—a tradition that has been upheld by the royals for many years. Following the festive meal, the family gathers for a gift exchange, a much-anticipated part of the holiday evening.
Zara said, “We give presents to each other on Christmas Eve,” “As adults, we still have stockings on Christmas Day,”
